More to come! Lots, lots, lots more…. – Nagi x

Request a recipe!
I spend an inordinate amount of time deciding which recipes to share.
My biggest problem is that there are so many recipes I want to share, things that get me doing the jiggy because it’s so good but then before I dash off to film and photograph the recipe, I pause and think – will my readers get excited about this too?? Will they really go and try this?
It’s always interesting when I publish a new recipe to see how many people read it. After 4 years of blogging (that’s middle aged in Internet terms!), you’d think I’d be able to get it right 100% of the time.
And mostly, I can.
I knew you’d love the Sticky Honey Mustard Drumsticks and go bonkers over the Pad Thai and Tikka Masala. I didn’t expect you’d be clamouring for the Quiche Lorraine or Avocado Dip, and I guessed right. 🙂
But other times, you surprise me! I did not expect such an amazing response to the Homemade Pastrami from last Friday, nor that the Garlic Butter Kale Rice would become such a firm favourite!

And after all those hours of contemplating what recipes I think you want, it finally dawned on me: Why don’t I ask you??
DUH!
And so, here we are. Finally – because it took me so ridiculously to arrive at this point – FINALLY I’m asking you:
WHAT RECIPES DO YOU WANT ME TO SHARE?
Drop your requests in the comments section below!
Be as specific or as general as you want. I just ask 2 simple things:
-
Please do a quick little Search to see if I’ve already shared it!
-
No banana anything! It’s the only normal thing I can’t stand. Awful, smelly, slimy things that they are!?
{UPDATE: Scroll to the top for a list of requested recipes that I have published!}
I obviously can’t promise that I’ll share every recipe requested, being that I’m just one person who does need to sleep on occasion! But I’ll certainly share the most requested ones, and I’ll regularly pop back here when I’m planning my recipe calendar.

LIFE OF DOZER
Hairdresser appointments are always extremely productive – I get my highlights and make recipe videos. Dozer gets his pats.

Would love to see Bun Cha
Hi Nagi,
I would love a recipe from you for Vietnamese Bahn Mi and smoked ham hock split pea soup. I love your website. Keep us all rolling in great recipes. Thank you.
Hi Nagi & Dozer,
Luv the blog.
Would it be too much to request a recipe for Yum Cha chickens feet & deep fried squid tentacles.
I live in rural Victoria Aus & find it difficult to get my fav Yum Cha hit! LOL
Thanks again for all the recipes & be assured I share them with my Lab Inky (no use just cooking for one!)
Cheers,
Tracey & Inky
Or the stuffed eggplant with prawn meat I once ate at Portia’s place. Prob best thing I’ve ever eaten. Thanks Nagi
Hi Nagi, love your work.
I would love if you could show us how to do Chinese steamboat. Thanks pili
Hi Nagi and Dozer, I would love to know what else you can make with lamb stew meat, besides lamb stew! Lamb is such a big part of the Australian diet, not so much the Canadian. Every recipe I see is stew, but surely there must be something else that can be made with it. I would like more recipes for pressure cooker meals.
Thanks for sharing your recipes. I have your cook books and use them all the time. I would love the recipe for Sui Mai if possible.
Hi. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. I posted Shumai recipe with a video in my blog, RecipeTin Japan, if you would like to have a look.
Hi Nagi,
I enjoyed a delicious dinner at a restaurant
a few years ago which was scallops on
creamy corn purée topped with crispy prosciutto and served with poached pears and a green
salad. I have tried several ways but just can’t get the corn purée right. Please help me!!
Hi Nagi I have been looking for the Green TeA Japanese mooci recipe. I love this and regularly go back for it at Yayoi Restaurant.
Thanks for all the lovely recipes you have been sharing. I have tried many of them and been successful.
Hi. This is Yumiko, Nagi’s mother here. I have a Japanese home cooking blog site, RecipeTin Japan and I guess Japanese recipes are in my territory. When you visit my site, you will find that there aren’t many sweets posted and I know I have to post a bit more in future. I will make a note of your request.
Hi Nagi,
I’d love the recipe for a Vietnamese salad.
Something that packs a punch with flavour.
Thanks for sharing your awesome recipes!
I have many of them printed off & are regularly family favourites.
Keep up the good work, it’s really appreciated.
Claire.
Hi Nagi,
Can you please post a recipe for salted fish fried rice. It’s on the menu of most Chinese restaurants here in Toronto but I haven’t found a good recipe online.
Thanks!
Hi Nagi. The whole family is a very big fan of yours. Thanks for asking. I am after a good recipe for the new trend of open bao. We ate these at Wonderbao & the bao was heavenly soft. They are versatile as we can use almost anything as filling. Thanks. Looking forward to the recipe sooooon. Thanks again
Hi Nagi, I would like a recipe for chilli moreton bay bugs. A big thank you for your blog. It is my go to site when deciding what to cook
Hi Nagi, love your recipes, especially your meat ones! They are fail safe and so flavourful 🙂 Hoping you can do a recipe for a slow cook Morroccan lamb/beef tagine recipe. I cant seem to get the spices and quantities right in my experimenting. Many thanks!
Hi Nagi and Dozer, I’m a HUGE fan of all of your recipes from the caramel slice to the muffins to you name it I’ve cooked it, my request is an Asian dish I had it it was amazing, scallops in a crab ginger sauce yum 😋
Thank you

Finding your blog revamped my dinners, thank you so much! It is rare to find such good recipes with everyday ingredients, I always appreciate the recipe notes to explain things further. I love that most of the recipes you post are savoury as well and that you can tell your passion for both cooking AND eating your creations (no need to be modest!) The few recipes I would love to see you’re take on:
– cabbage rolls
– eggplant parmigiana
– biryani
I second the cabbage roll request! Or even “cabbage roll soup” – it’s easier than rolling the cabbage but I have yet to get the sauce/meat/cabbage balance right.
Hi Nagi, Thanks for asking; I have been trying to find a really good panna cotta recipe. The ones I’ve made (including some with coconut milk, yoghurt and regular cream) are quite gelatinous. I’ve had really lovely, soft creamy ones at restaurants but can’t replicate them. Also, when I was at school (in the 80’s) I made a Turkish Walnut Cake in home economics and it was so good I’ve never forgotten it. It was from an Australian Women’s Weekly magazine from memory. I lost the recipe and have tried finding it over the yea to no avail. That’s a big ask I know but since you’re asking…😉 Or maybe one of your readers kept the recipe? Good to see Dozer out and about after surgery.
Donna, can you give any more details abt the Turkish Walnut cake? I’ve got lots of old AWW books 😉
Hi Mari, thank you so much for replying. I can’t remember anything but the name and that it was wonderful and moist (I can’t stand dry cake). It possibly had dates in it. I cooked it in my teens and now I’m in my 50’s so it was a long time ago. 😆 I’m not a big cake eater which is why I remember good ones. It’s probably like looking for a needle in a hay stack but if you do find it I’d be over the moon.
On another note, Nagi, I’m amazed how many replies you’ve had here. I had to trawl back through them all to reply to Mari! 😲
Hi,
I would like to request Massaman Beef Curry and Apple Pie 🙂
Thanks for asking
Hi Nagi
My request is pretty simple. How do I make the best crunchy batter for fish?? Have tried a few and get close but every recipe of yours I have tried always work perfectly so I seek your advice.
Regards
Stuart
Would love a recipe for Gypsy tart, I remember it from my school dinners in the 50s in the UK.
I have tried to make it but the results weren’t good. Flat as a pancake not light and fluffy as I remembered it.
Love to get your emails and update on the D boy , my two Rudy and Jo ( boxer and Jack Russell come little girl ) say wuffey hi to Dozer.
